Are you exhausted and even paralyzed by news and politics? Imagine how we feel (LOL). But actually, there is a lot to be hopeful about. That is why we created - Operation Hope!
Operation Hope is TYT’s public square for taking action on campaigns that create real-world change. It is a discussion, organizing and execution of change campaigns. Operation Hope is knowing that change is possible and that people can revive and save democracy.
As the Community Director for TYT, I have the absolute honor of working with our audience. Some are dedicated volunteers who meet weekly to get to work on specific projects, some are people looking to amplify their own activism to a broader audience.
So what can you expect from Operation Hope on Substack???
Field Notes from Operation Hope: Personal reflections and stories.
Spotlight on Progress: Profiles of community leaders, TYT volunteers, and grassroots organizations.
Hope in Action: Concrete actions readers can take (calls to action, events, donations).
Behind the Scenes at TYT and Operation Hope: Occasional exclusive content showing the inner workings of Operation Hope’s organizing and community-building.
Operation Joy - if you like hope you’re gonna love joy!
At Operation Hope, everyone is welcome to join - whether you’re a TYT member or not. Please reach out if you have questions or ideas. We’re just glad to be here with you.
Glad you guys are finally here on Substack!!
Hope isn’t a mood—it’s a strategy. And inside Operation Hope, we’re not whispering into the void—we’re shifting the terms of the fight.
I’ve seen how it starts: someone posts a thread. Someone else builds a spreadsheet. Within days, we’ve got a pressure campaign in motion. It’s not a miracle. It’s not polished. It’s people refusing to wait for permission.
So if you’re waiting to feel ready, don’t.
We don’t need your polish. We need your fingerprints on the stories that make power flinch.
Let’s organize hope like our democracy depends on it—because it does.
